ACCORDING TO COVER TYPE

Conveyor belts are classified according to their coating as follows.

  • O TYPE (OIL RESISTANT)

A TYPE (ABRASION RESISTANT) BELTS

  • Used in carrıage of abrasive and big sized materials and durable to blows.
  • This type of belts is mostly used in queries.
  • Durable to working operation up to 70±5°C.
  • Natural and synthetic rubber-based.
  • Not suitable for oils, acids and high temperatures.

TYPES OF CONVEYOR BELTS ACCORDING TO STEEP ANGLE

Conveyor belts are classified according to the climbing angle as follows.
  • Elevator Belts

CHEVRON BELTS

These belts are useful for conveying humid and/ or bulk materials upwards. Chevron type profiles prevent or reduce sliding and increase the quantity of transported goods. They can transport the material up to 250-350 angles. The technical drawings of the belts are indicated in the next page.

POINTED BELTS

Differently from the flat belts, the carrier surface of the belt is composed of the gears which are shaped like small points. Because these gears are vulcanized with the upper coating in the production stage, there is no risk of breaking. It increases the friction power and gives a holding characteristic to the band.

SAW GEARED BELTS

Differently from the flat belts, the carrier surface of the belt is composed of gears that are shaped like the small triangle prism. Because these gears are vulcanized together with the upper coating in the production stage, there is not risk of breaking. This kind of gears gives a holding characteristic to the belt, as a result of which it enables transportation of product up to 3 m/sec speed at the 200-350 angles. Saw geared belts are mostly used for transporting to packed products.

SLIDING BELTS

’In some conveyor systems, rollers cannot be used for some technical reasons. There is a sliding table like sheet metal on this systems. So on this belts the bottom cover can not be used. All the same, the carcass is used instead of rubber.

SKIRT RUBBERS

The belts, which are used as belt cleaner in some conveyor systems, are produced as soft and smooth. They can be produced between 50mm to 1600mm width.

CORRUGATED SIDEWALL BELTS

When the site is limited or materials are neededto be lifted from a big dip angle wavy to raised edge, conveyor belt is generally selected to prevent the conveyed materials from scattering. The conveyor belt can run in a vertical state, and allows massive conveying and heavy-duty transport. USING AREAS : Ports, metallurgical industry, mines, electric power industry, coal industry, casting industry, building industry, grain industry, cement and chemical fertilizer industry.

CLEATED BELTS

While bulk materials are transported upwards with inclines up to 40°-45, cleated belts are used. Molds can be produced according to custumers requirements.

TRANSMISSION AND ELEVATOR BELTS

Elevator belts are used in such cases where materials are needed to carried upwards. These straight elevator belts are produced by a special technique. Elevator buckets are connected to the belt. The producing style is different from other conveyor belts. When compared with other conveyor belts, there is no rubber coating. So the fabric material is the main carrier of the system. The holes for the buckets are arranged according to the length and strength of the belt.
